The fact that your SILENO pro & max does not park can have various causes and is often difficult for us to judge from a distance.
Please first check the following conditions on site.
Installation:
Check the wiring on or around the charging station.
To ensure that the robotic lawnmower can always dock reliably to the charging station, it is essential to comply with the instructions for installing the charging station in the operating instructions. If the boundary wires are routed directly past the side of the charging station, a minimum distance of 60 cm between the boundary wires is required. Neither the boundary wire nor the low-voltage cable may be laid under the charging station. Also, the low-voltage cable must not be rolled up and laid behind the charging station. This can lead to interference that can affect the signals from the charging station.
If the charging station is positioned at the end of a short corridor, in addition to the above-mentioned specifications, it must be noted that the starting point (A), which can be set to a maximum distance of 3 m in the menu, is located on the area to be mowed. In addition, a minimum distance (B) of at least 60 cm between the boundary wire and the guide cable is required. If this distance is too small, this can lead to malfunctions.
If you have laid the guide cable at the charging station under stone slabs or wood, we ask you to lay it above ground in the area of the charging station to generate a stronger signal. Then please put the robotic lawnmower back into operation.
Interference:
Metallic objects:
Please check that there are no metallic objects in the immediate vicinity of the charging station (approx. 1 meter radius). Interferences can be e.g. by a self-built robotic lawnmower garage, metal fences, ventilation grilles, etc. If this is the case, we recommend that you first remove it or choose another, "metal-free" location for the charging station.
Radio units:
Please check whether the charging station is close to or as the crow flies between the transmitter and receiver of various radio units. This could be e.g. radio sockets or electric gates. If this is the case, please switch off these units once for test purposes or change their location or that of the charging station if necessary.
Please check in which color the control LED of the charging station lights up or flashes.
If the LED lights up permanently green, but the robotic lawnmower does not find its way back to the charging station with the help of the guide cable, a problem with the guide cable could still be the cause. To check this, please swap the connections between guide wire 1 or 2 and boundary wire on the left or right of the connected charging station.
If the LED is now flashing blue, please check the following points:
- The guide cable is not properly connected to the charging station. Please check the connection terminal.
- The connector between the guide wire and the boundary wire is not installed properly. Please check the connector and press it down with suitable pliers.
- The guide cable is damaged. Please check the guide cable and/or re-lay it.
Scenario:
The LED lights up permanently green and the robotic lawnmower drives into the charging station, docks at the charging station, lingers for a few seconds and then leaves it again. After several attempts, the mower stops in front of the charging station with the error message Charging station blocked. In this case, a review of all individual components is required.
